College Advising

Welcome to College Advising

Given the global nature of educational opportunities available to GIS students who earn the German International Abitur (DIAP), our approach to college advising is highly individualized.

To help our students find their own paths and gain acceptance to their favorite schools, our savvy college advisors work very closely with students and their families to guide them through the selection and application process for schools in the US, Canada, Great Britain and European countries.

Each year, our college advisors also offer students a variety of opportunities to explore possible educational and career paths with events such as career panels, college alumni Q&A sessions and interview training.  Additionally, our 11th graders are required to complete a minimum one week internship to gain real world work experience.

Most GIS graduates continue their education at colleges and universities in German-speaking countries.  However, a growing number of our students choose to attend university in English-speaking countries.  Below is a list of the colleges and universities in the US, Canada, Great Britain and Europe to which our graduates have been accepted in recent years.
